Woodland Management using traditional techniques
We manage local woodlands using a coppice-with-standards system. This age-old technique, dating back to beyond the Bronze Age, involves cyclically cutting the underwood for regrowth and thinning larger trees to maximise growth and quality.
Our low-impact tools and machines combined with the coppice system brings life and light to the woodland. This increases the biodiversity of both flora and fauna, whilst sensitively maintaining the integrity of each individual wood.
